Senior Lecturer in Sound Reinforcement and Sound Recording (w/m/d)
Requirements
1. Conditions of employment
- a domestic or equivalent foreign higher education qualification appropriate to the position
- outstanding pedagogical and didactic aptitude
2. Desired qualifications
- Relevant teaching experience at university level
- Relevant practical experience as a sound engineer in professional music productions
- Experience with live sound reinforcement and audio productions
- Willingness to cooperate and ability to work in a team
- Very good knowledge of German (C1)

Role & Responsibilities
- You teach the courses "Sound reinforcement", "Sound recording" and "Practical recording technology", particularly in the artistic and artistic-educational Bachelor's degree programs. The course content includes
- Teaching the basics of sound reinforcement and sound recording technology, e.g. Microphone technology, microphone techniques for sound reinforcement, components of sound reinforcement systems, signal, cable and connection technology, recording equipment, production techniques, recording analysis, sound carrier production
- Overview of the history of sound carrier development, electroacoustic media, room acoustics, audio communication
Practical exercises with small sound reinforcement systems, carrying out a simple sound production - Demonstration of the creative and design possibilities for musicians in the recording studio throughout the entire production process
- You are required to participate in academic self-administration

- The salary based on 6 teaching hours per week is at least € 1257.20 gross per month (depending on age). The classification is in salary group C (this corresponds to the functional career LD 10 of the Upper Austrian Salary Act 2001.
