Senior Lecturer for Acoustics (w/m/d)
2 teaching hours, approx. 4 hours per week (9.09% of full-time employment)
Requirements

- outstanding pedagogical and didactic aptitude

- Relevant teaching experience at university level
- Practical experience with musicians as clients (room acoustics, etc.)
- Publication activity

- Very good knowledge of German (C1)

Role & Responsibilities
- Relevant teaching experience at university level
- You teach courses in acoustics, particularly in the bachelor's degree programs in arts and arts education. The course content includes:
- Basic knowledge: Basic knowledge: Physical fundamentals, musical acoustics, physiological acoustics (sound perception, information processing in the brain, psychoacoustics, etc.)
- Historical development of sound recording media
- Room acoustics (fundamentals of geometric and statistical room acoustics, acoustic room design, comparison of acoustic concepts, acoustic analysis of concert halls)
- Instrumental acoustics
- Electroacoustic media (signal flow and components of a sound system, analog vs. digital technology, comparison of recording methods)
- You are required to participate in academic self-administration.

- The salary based on 6 teaching hours per week is at least € 1257.20 gross per month (depending on age). The classification is in salary group C (this corresponds to the functional career LD 10 of the Upper Austrian Salary Act 2001.
