The Anton Bruckner Private University is a public corporation and is funded by the State of Upper Austria. It was accredited as a private university in 2004. We offer our approximately 850 students artistic, artistic-pedagogical and artistic-scientific degree programmes in the fields of music, drama and dance. With around 50% international students, we are the most international university in Linz, and our strong regional ties with local cultural and educational institutions make us an attractive and diverse place to work.

• Scope of employment: 11 hours per week, including 6 hours of teaching per week (27,27% of full employment)
• Duration of employment: initially limited to three years; in case of positive evaluation permanent employment
• Classification: Salary group C (LD 10 of the Upper Austrian Salary Act 2001)
• Remuneration: gross monthly salary from EUR 1,214.67 (depending on creditable previous service)

Requirements

1. Employment requirements:

• A domestic or equivalent foreign higher education qualification or an equivalent artistic or artistic-scientific aptitude appropriate to the position
  
• Teaching experience in the tertiary education sector
  
• Sound knowledge of techniques, theories and history of electroacoustic music
  
• Own experimental compositional and artistic application in the context of electroacoustic music
• Regular attendance at the Anton Bruckner Private University and participation in academic self-administration are part of the duty.

2. Desired qualifications:

• Research activities in the field of electroacoustic music
  
• Interest in interdisciplinary projects
  
• High willingness to cooperate and ability to work in a team
  
• Good knowledge of German and English
• Organisational competence

Role & Responsibilities

• Teaching courses in the fields of composition, media composition and post-digital lutherie
• Teaching digital music production techniques
• Basics of studio work including synthesis, sampling, spatial sound and programming your own software instruments
• Teaching courses on the theory and history of electronic music
• In addition to teaching courses, the activities of teaching staff include the necessary preparation and follow-up activities, event and examination activities, research and administrative activities associated with teaching, participation in committees and the supervision and assessment of final theses.
