The Anton Bruckner Private University is a public corporation and is funded by the State of Upper Austria. It was accredited as a private university in 2004. We offer our approximately 850 students artistic, artistic-pedagogical and artistic-scientific degree programmes in the fields of music, drama and dance. Senior Lecturer for Contemporary Dance (f/m/d)
- Scope of employment: 40 hours per week, including 22 hours of teaching per week (100% of full employment)
- Duration of employment: initially limited to three years; in case of positive evaluation permanent employment
- Classification: Salary group C+ (LD 9 of the Upper Austrian Salary Act 2001)
- Remuneration: gross monthly salary from EUR 4,837.10 (depending on creditable previous service)

We are looking for a person with proven qualifications in the teaching of contemporary dance techniques in both the artistic and artistic-pedagogical fields. The Institute of Dance Arts (IDA) represents a specific profiling of these areas, which supports the diversity existing in this field and a differentiated and reflected craftsmanship in teaching.

1. Employment requirements:
- International performance experience as a contemporary dancer, performer
- Many years of teaching experience specifically for contemporary dancers, various professional fields of practice as well as in the university/college sector
- Willingness to work in close team-orientated collaboration with colleagues
- Availability of international networks
- A domestic or equivalent foreign higher education qualification or equivalent artistic or artistic-scientific aptitude appropriate to the role
- Good knowledge of English (teaching language English)
- Regular attendance at the Anton Bruckner Private University and participation in academic self-administration are part of the duty.

Role & Responsibilities
- Contemporary dance technique training in the central artistic subject for all years of the BA Contemporary Dance, Stage Dance, Performance, Pedagogy programme
- Teaching in the Master's degree programmes
- Analysing movement and promoting physically differentiated movement qualities
- Promotion of perceptual processes
- Teaching pedagogical reflection
- Teaching and mentoring in the pedagogical / didactic courses in the BA and MA programmes
- Transfer between artistic and pedagogical processes
- In addition to teaching courses, the activities of teaching staff include the necessary preparation and follow-up activities, event and examination activities, research and administrative activities associated with teaching, participation in committees and the supervision and assessment of final theses.
